Executive Director

Janet is the Executive Director for The Precision Institute, a national non-profit organization dedicated to assessing and training individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities to enable them to be employed in technology and business services positions.  Janet has 30+ years of experience in Training and Development and 25+ years in Non-profit Leadership and Management. She holds a BA from William & Mary and a MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Janet has had a multi-faceted career encompassing the performing arts, higher education, leadership development and non-profit management. She began her career working in professional theatres across the country as an actress, singer and arts administrator. After leaving the theatre, she worked for several years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s satellite graduate school in Hartford, CT overseeing courses in Continuous Quality Improvement, Quality Function Deployment and Computer Technology. Upon completion of her MBA, she worked as an executive leadership feedback specialist for programs offered by the Center for Creative Leadership. She has worked with executives from such diverse organizations as MTV, the NBA, PBS, Fortune 100 companies and various governmental agencies as well as consulting with a variety of non-profit organizations in the areas of leadership development, governance and strategic planning.

Janet has served on numerous non-profit boards and currently serves in leadership positions on two boards at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, and on the Board of Governors for Food Allergy Research and Education (FARE), a national food allergy non-profit.
